QotD: It Set Me Apart
What set you apart from the rest of the kids at school?

I was about half a metre taller.
I came top of the year in loads of exams.
I started growing my hair long (as did a small minority of other guys, but I stuck at it).
I played guitar (quite well).
I could programe in BBC BASIC.

But were any of these things the things that actually made you stand out? I can understand the hair, I can understand the height, but being able to program BBC Basic? I can't imagine that being one of those things where the kids in the playground are huddled together, at the edge of the green, whispering as you walk past "hey, there goes that guy......you know, that one.......the one that can program BBC Basic. Crikey".......
Can undersrand the exams thing though......
