This is too good to stay hidden in my del.icio.us bookmarks.
You have to try Photosynth, then go and watch the full demo.
Really amazing.

I watched the full demo which was amazing but could not load the photosynth.
I am not sure what the end product will reveal of personal deyails or photos.

Presumably it gets only public photos from Flickr or wherever? You probably need some sort of plugin for th thing to work, not sure if it asked me to install anything (can't remember).
